title : national day 2013!
HAPPY 48TH BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!
this year's national day theme song is a little catchy, though a bit.. weird at first haha similar feelings to last year's national day theme song.. though it's nice as a normal ballad song~ i still enjoy the yearly national day songs :)) and miss the times in schools where we all will sing together, and even dance together to the songs as a cohort or a school. and i still like 2002's ndp song the best haha hahaha! i still like reciting to the .. "we have no rights, we have no say, and we long to be free one day." i forgot what to call it. but i know what it is, and thats enough haha! my brother said "this year's special guest at NDP is stephen chow!" LOL!! it's kinda sad that, when you go out on the streets on national day, you dont see everybody donning red and white clothes. i dont see the "love the country" spirit anywhere, except on the TV at the national day parade. ohwell, i love singapore, i dont care how people look at this statement. for thank you for the compulsory education that we benefitted from, that i could really help my family in. i dislike the fact that sometimes they are bullied for having attained lower levels of education. and hence i'm always loving the fact that i could help them whenever i could, to draft out some letters, and complete administrative stuff, so that we all can get our better rights, and hence a better and easier life for everybody :) for thank you for the multiracial society, as i really enjoy the mix of races in singapore, meeting everybody in smiles and helping one another out. i may be hesitant at times to help, even at buying tissue paper, but definitely love the warm feeling i get when i receive help from others. and hence donating at every flag day if possible :) dont let those occasional misunderstandings and unhappy events create deeper stereotypes in you about others, and dont let them be generalisable. for thank you for the cleanliness and manmade greens, and the getaways we can go to as a result of the conservation efforts, and hence a chance for family bonding and friends' bonding. everybody has their own inadequacies. nobody is perfect, and this applies for a nation like us as well. the hikes in ERPs, the high cost of living, the competitive nature of the society that penetrates into schools as well, and the really unbearable congested trains every peak hour. okay, it's worse now as at every time of the day, it's just as packed. there is no more decongesting hours like what insinc stated LOL but if we dont dwell on all these negative points, or simply get away from them, we're living in a safe nation that we have always taken for granted. i'm glad that it's singapore, because i do not have to fear that my friends and family would meet with any mishaps suddenly, unless it's their fault of not taking care of themselves. and lucky for it's singapore, so that i dont fear of getting lost, because it's all prim and proper, with many signs to direct me to anywhere. and when in doubt, there's GPS and taxis that you can hop on hahaha without being afraid that they may bring you somewhere ulu and rob you of your money. except that they may take detours and idk, waste your money LOL today went gurame to celebrate my ahma's birthday! the actual day is on 25th August but i'd be flying away, so today's a good choice since everybody would be free for a family dinner :) the food's really nice! and REALLY filling haha although the place is a little inaccesible at near NSRCC, and the sea sports centre.. but cuz it's near the sea, so you get the sea view, and the nice wind ^^ which was quite a problem when we were lighting up the candles haha and cuz it's a national day, we're all in red and white! :D and some pink here and there hahaha my brother said that we would be able to catch the fireworks! but it was really.. far away.. lol!
tada :)
